Still one of the most popular tablet PC's on the market.
Looks cleaner and more refined and has all the familiar widgets associated with the Android, the recognizable interface makes it user-friendly along with the usual apps. Featuring the 4.1 Jelly Bean experience, with a micro USB port, non expandable, slim and lightweight, this tablet is ranked as one of the most popular buys on the market today.
The home screen is based around the "Google Play" for videos, films, TV shows etc, the 4.1 Jelly Bean has removed the lag of past Android models, making it a very smooth operator, extremely responsive to the image enlarge / reduce pinch function.
The Nexus 7 has no problems with handling High Definition. The IPS screen gives it a natural looking color reproduction with good viewing angles which show the quality of the tablet. With the Tegra 3 quad-core processor, gaming with the Nexus 7 is truly an amazing experience, very slick graphics with minimal drag not affecting performance, gamers will love this.
Keyboard layout is the same as the previous model and still very easy to use.
The battery on average use, lasts around one to two days depending on the usage, which is adequate for the average user.
Wi-Fi maintains a strong constant signal connection, up to a range of approx 30 feet
The excellent Google Chrome browser has virtually no lagging, with the oily smooth operation of the pages and the open tabs, making toggling simple and intuitive.
This tablet has a personalized digital system called "Google Now", Just swipe up from the bottom, launch it and it tracks information from your Google searches, locations and compiles suggestions for more detailed data results.
The voice search function has been updated with Jelly Bean so it's more informed about the user's habits with a more organic sounding voice.
Google has raised the bar by transforming the lower budget market with this product and has set new standards. Overall a high quality media tablet at an affordable price, with great value for your money.
To sum it up, I would rate the Nexus 7 as four star rating based on its price, quality and functionality.
